Presentations on structural stability
Join us at the world’s only annual conference focused exclusively on the important role of structural stability in structural engineering. The SSRC Annual Stability Conference is held every year as an exclusive track within AISC’s North American Steel Construction Conference. This conference brings together researchers from around the world to report and discuss the latest research in structural stability. For example, topics in previous conferences included:
• Stability behavior in new steel seismic systems
• U.S. and international design standards related to the stability of components and systems
• Stability of tubular members under a variety of demands
• Local buckling of steel members
• Stiffener requirements and optimization for steel plates, connections, and members
• Stability of members with holes
• Stability of curved I-girder bridges
• Probabilistic treatments for design against stability limit states
• Experimental and theoretical work on bracing systems including bracing for bridges
• New analytical methods for stability, including Generalized Beam Theory
• Stability of members under fire demands
• Curved and skewed I-girder bridges
and many others. All of the world’s structural stability research, with a particular emphasis on the stability of metal structures, or metal-concrete composite structures are welcome.

Benefits to submission
The Structural Stability Research Council’s Annual Stability Conference provides a unique venue for sharing your latest stability research. The paper sessions enjoy wide attendance, in addition to the research community, the engineering and construction community from AISC’s North American Steel Construction Conference are free to attend the sessions and do so. As an added benefit, speakers who present in selected sessions are typically eligible for partial travel support. Student authors are particularly encouraged and may be eligible for participation in the Vinnakota Award paper contest, see details below.
